Q. How did you come up with the name Sorceress?

A. Maybe because I stay awake during the "witching hours" most of the time. No, seriously. From the very early years of my life, I had psychic powers and use to "read" people. I was often referred to as a little "witch" or "sorceress". My family loved to joke about me and say that witches were not always ugly old crones, but could also be beautiful young females. I hope I proved that.

Like the witches during the witch hunts and persecutions, I can relate to being the underdog and being stereotyped before people gave me a chance to show them that there was more to me. Even though there is nothing wrong with being average, I am not your average, model, centerfold, web designer, tarot reader or author. I also believe in making magic happen in my life, regardless of what others want to believe about me, because my belief in spirituality, and my belief in myself, is much stronger. That is how a sorceress in the 17th century felt and that is how I feel, which is why my craft name is appropriately called "Sorceress".

Q. What exactly is Goddessy?

A. "GODDESSY" is a name that was created by combining "goddess" with "odyssey". A "goddess" is a spiritual person and an "odyssey" is a journey. Therefore, "GODDESSY" is properly defined as "a spiritual journey".

"GODDESSY" is placed in all capital letters in order to stress the importance of spirituality in life. Whether we choose to or not, we all go through some sort of spiritual journey. GODDESSY is a "spiritual journey" for everyone.

Q. What do you find so interesting about astrology?

A. Everything. Thousands of years ago, the Egyptians had a deep interest in it. In Medieval times, if you weren't knowledgeable about it, you weren't a good scientist or philosopher. The planets and stars have been around before the beginning of mankind and they will most definitely exist after us. That alone makes you want to know more about their connection with astrology.

Q. How long did it take you to write the books?

A. I am a writing machine. (Laugh) Once I get a certain idea in my head, it won't leave my head until I write a few hundred pages about it. If I could type as fast as my ideas wanted to come out, I would be God.

Q. Why does society need another book on astrology?

A. Unlike most books about astrology, my books touch upon topics that other metaphysical authors have not been written about.

GODDESSY was originally a private hobby for me. I thoroughly enjoyed writing articles about astrology, new age and spirituality. Eventually, I placed all of my writings together and realized that GODDESSY could provide useful information to those who had an interest in metaphysics and philosophy. As a result, "GODDESSY: Belief Is Only The Beginning..." was created.

I recently acquired a patent for the method of creating my book entitled: "GODDESSY: 2004 Psychic Reading Predictions For Every Astrological Birth Sign", as no other metaphysical company in history has ever produced a yearly (month-to-month) psychic reading reference. This reference will come out annually, from 2003 on and the person who created the tarot cards I used, Clive Barrett, has written a preface for the book.

My book entitled: "GODDESSY: Historical Figures & Their Ties To The Occult" is the first book of its kind that reveals a famous collection of people from history, along with their occult beliefs and practices. Most people will recognize the names, but not many people will know how these historical figures were directly tied to the occult. It is quite fascinating! One of the famous historical figures has written a preface for the book. (I was also happy to hear that he enjoyed reading what I wrote about him.)

I have a few other books that I am writing about presently, but cannot reveal much about them at this time other than the "Black" book. The "Black" book will also be available in bookstores worldwide by October of 2003. My new books are also quite unique and definitely related to the occult as well. These books will be fun and somewhat shocking. I have always been (and still enjoy being) a little controversial.

Q. Does the pick up line, 'What's Your Sign?' ever work?

A. A "pick up line" has never worked on me, but someone's astrological sign usually did make a difference to me. Being a fire sign (Leo), I have always been drawn to other fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sagittarius). That does not mean that I am not compatible with other signs. It is merely what I refer to as "a psychic connection". Only a fire sign can handle me anyway. I might look like a sweet little kitten, but the lioness in me definitely takes over, and so does the New Yorker, when I get too many pick-up lines in one day.

Q. Can you give me an anecdote about using your psychic powers in the past? A funny or interesting story (or two)?

A. The most unusual psychic experience I had was when I asked the family Ouija Board the name of my husband (when I was a teenager). It told me his name and the name actually ended up being my first husband's name. I haven't used that board in ages, but maybe I should ask it a few more questions...

The funniest experience was when I was about 2 years old and I did a reading on one of my Uncles in front of my family. I saw him having a secret girlfriend and I asked him why he did not bring his girlfriend to dinner. My Uncle did have a girlfriend...but he was also married. Everyone at the table was amused but his wife.

I always saw spirits since I was a child. Whenever a family member died, their spirit would visit the family house and stay awhile until it was their time to move on completely. The scariest experience was when I did not recognize the spirit and it chased me around the corners of my room when I was astral traveling in my sleep. This spirit was dark and gloomy and I knew I had to get back into my physical body fast. The sound of me falling back into my body (and back into bed) was so loud that it woke everyone in the house and they came running in to my room to see what caused it. I'm more experienced and handle that sort of thing differently now.
